1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ClassAtHome platform (referred to as Platform, we, or us) at classathome.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all users — students, parents, tutors, and visitors.
2. About the Platform
ClassAtHome is an online marketplace that connects students and parents with independent home and online tutors. We do not employ tutors. We act solely as an intermediary technology platform.
Tuition services are provided independently by tutors. ClassAtHome is not a party to any tuition agreement.
3. User Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
- All information must be accurate and up to date.
- Multiple accounts to exploit features are prohibited.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. For Students & Parents
- Free registration allows browsing tutor profiles.
- Premium membership is required to access tutor contact details.
- Contact information must not be used for spam or solicitation.
- We do not guarantee tutor performance or results.
- Disputes must be resolved directly between student and tutor.
5. For Tutors
- Tutors list profiles as independent professionals.
- All qualifications and experience must be truthful.
- ClassAtHome does not control teaching methods or fees.
- We take zero commission on tuition fees paid directly.
- Student information must not be misused.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways.
- Prices are in INR and inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Premium access is activated after successful payment.
- We do not store card or banking details.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Posting false or misleading information.
- Harassment, spam, or misuse of contact data.
- Bypassing membership fees.
- Scraping or copying platform content.
- Sharing accounts with others.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content including branding, design, text, and software is the property of ClassAtHome. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an as is and as available basis. We make no warranties regarding tutor qualifications, availability, reliability, or outcomes of tuition sessions.
We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted access.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassAtHome shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for premium membership in the preceding three (3) months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClassAtHome and its affiliates from any claims arising out of:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Disputes between tutors and students
- Information you provide
12. Marketplace & Intermediary Status
ClassAtHome functions solely as an intermediary under applicable Indian laws. We do not supervise or control tuition services.
Any tuition agreement exists strictly between tutor and student.
13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably.
If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
The seat of arbitration shall be Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Proceedings shall be conducted in English.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, government actions, internet failures, or pandemics.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion if a user violates these Terms or engages in harmful conduct.
Provisions relating to liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana shall have jurisdiction, subject to arbitration provisions above.
